Here are some unconventional daily items that can be used in Filipino Martial Arts:


1. Umbrella

An umbrella can serve as a striking tool or a blocking device. Its length allows for effective reach and can be used to disarm an opponent.


2. Belt

A sturdy belt can be used for grappling, restraining, or striking. It can also serve as a makeshift weapon in self-defense situations.


3. Flashlight

A heavy flashlight can be used as a striking implement. It can also help disorient an opponent when shone in their eyes.


4. Backpack

A backpack can be used to shield oneself or to create distance. It can also be filled with items to add weight for training purposes.


5. Chair

A chair can be used for blocking or as an improvised weapon. It can also help in practicing footwork and movement patterns.


6. Pen or Pencil

A pen or pencil can serve as a small stabbing tool and can be used to practice quick strikes and precision.


7. Water Bottle

A filled water bottle can be used as a striking tool or to practice balance and coordination when held during movements.


8. Kitchen Utensils

Items like spatulas or wooden spoons can be used for practicing strikes and defenses in a more playful manner.


9. Shoes

A shoe can be used for striking or as a means to practice footwork and movement while maintaining stability.
